In his current role, started in 2022, he is primarily involved in the development of GE Aerospace's cooperation with scientific and industrial partners to work together on technological projects supporting climate neutrality.

He graduated from the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Shipbuilding of the Gdańsk University of Technology with a master's degree in engineering. He continued his studies at the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk, obtaining a PhD in technical sciences in the field of marine propulsion.

He started his industrial career at ABB (later ABB/ALSTOM) as a Aerodynamics Specialist Engineer in the Steam Turbine Research and Development Projects Department.

He also worked at Philips Royal Electronics as the Head of the Design Department designing machines for the production of light sources.

Marian Lubieniecki was one of the first employees of GE Aerospace at the Engineering Design Center started in 2000.

In 2007, he founded the Oil & Gas team at EDC dealing with oil & gas upstream and midstream technologies, which he developed into an organization of several hundred people.

In 2016, Marian Lubieniecki took the position of the President of the Management Board of General Electric Company Polska Sp. z o.o. and Director of Engineering Design Center. In this role, apart from running the center, he also supported the development of the aviation and energy sectors through participation in industry associations.
